Season Premiere MON 9/8c OCT 3 HOUSE, an innovative take on the medical drama, is a series in which the villain is a medical malady and the hero is an irreverent, controversial doctor who trusts no one, least of all his patients. Entering its eighth season, HOUSE has been honored with four Emmy Awards, including an award for creator and executive producer David Shore (Outstanding Writing for a Drama Series). The series has been honored with 23 Emmy Award nominations, including four for Outstanding Drama Series and five for Hugh Laurie (Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series), two Golden Globe Awards for Laurie (Best Performance by an Actor in a Television Series), two Screen Actors Guild Awards for Laurie (Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Drama Series), a Screen Actors Guild Award nomination (Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Drama Series), three Golden Globe Award nominations for Best Television Series, Drama and three consecutive People's Choice Awards for Favorite TV Drama. DR. GREGORY HOUSE (Laurie), devoid of bedside manner and often bordering on antisocial, is a brilliant diagnostician whose unconventional thinking and flawless instincts afford him a great deal of respect. An infectious disease specialist, he thrives on the challenge of solving complex medical puzzles in order to save lives. He shepherds an elite team of experts who help him unravel diagnostic mysteries, including neurologist DR. ERIC FOREMAN (Omar Epps), plastic surgeon DR. CHRIS TAUB (Peter Jacobson), enigmatic DR. REMY HADLEY/THIRTEEN (Olivia Wilde) and surgeon DR. ROBERT CHASE (Jesse Spencer). House has a confidant and good friend in oncology specialist DR. JAMES WILSON (Robert Sean Leonard), and maintains a somewhat volatile and strained relationship with former girlfriend DR. LISA CUDDY (Lisa Edelstein), the Dean of Medicine and hospital administrator. Though the two are in constant conflict over House's duties and unconventional behavior, even she would admit that his brilliance is worth the trouble. This season, House and Cuddy finally decided to take their relationship to the next level, but struggled to find a balance between their professional and personal lives, and ultimately, Cuddy made the very emotional decision to end their relationship. As each of them dealt with the aftermath of the break-up, House got married to an immigrant in need of a Green Card. In the series' milestone 150th episode, Thirteen was released from prison after euthanizing her brother who was suffering from the late stages of Huntington's Disease, the same disease with which she is afflicted. As the season comes to a close, when House's attempts to mend his relationship with Cuddy fall short, he's compelled to take drastic and possibly irrevocable measures that could forever change the course of their relationship. HOUSE is from Heel and Toe Films, Shore Z Productions and Bad Hat Harry Productions in association with Universal Media Studios. Katie Jacobs, David Shore, Paul Attanasio, Bryan Singer, Russel Friend, Garrett Lerner, Thomas L. Moran, Greg Yaitanes and Hugh Laurie are executive producers.
